Cameron Carter

Cameron Carter is founder and CEO of Content by Carter. A trusted advisor to senior leadership in both the public and private sectors, Cam understands the importance of consistent, spot-on messaging that supports strategic business objectives. A lobbyist, he has 25+ years of experience in business, economic development, marketing and public affairs.

Cam formerly served in Washington, DC as communications director for both U.S. Senator Richard Lugar and Vice President Dan Quayle. He’s held senior management positions with Hudson Institute and the international advertising and public relations firm, Publicis, and is a veteran of several state and national political campaigns. He founded his own business consulting firm and served as president and CEO of TechPoint after having helped form the statewide technology initiative in 2002. He left TechPoint in 2006 after merging it with the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP). For nine years thereafter, Cam led economic development and federal lobbying efforts for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. He is a 1989 honors graduate of the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.

Larry Dickerson

Larry D. Dickerson serves as senior advisor for Content by Carter, leading the firm’s strategic business assessments. Larry (or “LD” as he is affectionately known) is a great listener, analyst and creative mind for those facing marketing or public relations challenges. He digs deeply to intimately understand a client’s vision and brand before suggesting tactics for the marketplace. LD often taps his vast national network developed from years of working in the political, for-profit and not-for-profit sectors to help clients make the right connections.

A graduate of General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), LD provides counsel to both public and private sector organizations utilizing an approach built around the brand promise of “Listen First”. He’s built a strong national reputation for his work in travel and tourism promotion through his firm, Destination Marketing Group. LD has managed and represented tourism-oriented business entities, including the state tourism agencies of New York, Michigan, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Arizona, Oklahoma and North Carolina. When not on assignment for clients, LD splits his time between New York City, Indianapolis, and wherever work projects take him across the country. Most importantly, LD is the proud father of two sons, Brandon and Jake.

Joel Weyrauch

Joel Weyrauch is the director of content development for Content by Carter and is responsible for generating creative content to assist with client needs. He’s also tasked with digital media strategy and media monitoring.

Most recently, Joel served as the director of strategic communications for Bar Communications, drafting content and implementing earned media strategies. He worked on statewide and regional media campaigns as well as issue campaigns on policies from mass transportation to LGBT rights. He has also developed curriculum for international conferences and assisted with executive speechwriting. Joel is an alumni member of the Indiana Democratic Party's Emerging Leaders Program and a cum laude graduate from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Lauren Schregardus

Lauren Schregardus is the director of stakeholder engagement at Content by Carter, where she oversees strategic communications campaigns and media relations for corporate and nonprofit clients. Lauren is the strategic lead on clients such as Walmart and Caregiver Homes of Indiana and prides herself in relationship building and story development.

Previously, Lauren served as director of communications for iStudio Salons. At iStudio, she managed the company’s direct marketing and communications to vendors, customers and external stakeholders, in addition to leading all public relations and social media outreach. During Lauren’s tenure, iStudio grew from three locations to seven locations with nearly 200 salon professionals. Her media relations experience also includes service as spokeswoman for Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett, the Indiana Department of Education and the Indiana Family and Social Services Agency. Lauren began her career as an account executive for Dittoe PR, an Indianapolis public relations firm, where she worked on earned media campaigns for national and international clients. She is also a monthly contributor to Indianapolis Mom’s Blog. Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Miami University with a degree in mass communications. She lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband James and son Andrew.
